YouTube Scraper API

YouTube channels, videos, search results, comments, playlists and transcripts as JSON. No Google Cloud project, no daily quota units: pay per successful request.

What is a YouTube scraper API?

A YouTube scraper API returns public YouTube data (channels, videos, search results, comments, playlists and transcripts) as JSON, without Google Cloud quota units.

YouTube endpoints

Each endpoint has its own page with the full field list, a code sample and the credit cost.

What you can build

  • Get transcripts of videos for summarization, search or RAG pipelines.
  • Track channel growth and the performance of new uploads.
  • Run keyword searches to monitor what is published about a topic.
  • Collect comments for sentiment analysis or product feedback.

Limitations: Unofficial API: not affiliated with or endorsed by the platform. Public data only, as a logged-out visitor sees it. Counts can be YouTube's rounded figures; comments are top-level only; transcripts exist only for videos with captions.

One request, clean JSON

Example: YouTube Channel Scraper API. Every YouTube endpoint uses the same request shape.

curl -X POST https://api.scrapeeverything.com/v1/youtube/profile \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"username":"@MrBeast"}'

Full parameters and response fields are in the YouTube API reference. Prices per credit are on the pricing page.

YouTube scraper API: questions

How is this different from the YouTube Data API?

There is no Google Cloud project, OAuth or daily quota to plan around. You pay per successful request, and transcripts work for public videos you do not own.

Can I get transcripts in other languages?

Yes, when the video has a caption track in that language. Pass lang and check available_languages in the response.

Are YouTube Shorts supported?

Yes. Video, comments and transcript endpoints accept Shorts URLs, and search supports type shorts.

How much does the YouTube scraper API cost?

Each successful request costs 1 credits depending on the endpoint. New accounts get 100 free credits; failed requests are refunded and cache hits are free.
