What the YouTube Videos Scraper API does

The YouTube Videos Scraper API returns a channel summary and its latest uploads from the Videos tab, up to 30 per request. Each video has its ID, watch link, title, view count, relative publish time (for example "12 days ago"), duration as text and in seconds and the largest thumbnail. The channel part includes channel ID, title, URL, avatar and subscriber count. Send an @handle, a channel ID or a channel URL. View counts here are approximate, parsed from YouTube's rounded text; for exact views, likes and the publish date of one video, pass its ID to the YouTube video endpoint. It is a simple way to watch channels for new uploads without Google Cloud quota planning. Each request costs 1 credit.

Use cases

  • Watch competitor or creator channels for new uploads every day.
  • Estimate typical views of a creator's recent videos before a sponsorship.
  • Collect video IDs to pass to the transcript, comments or video endpoints.

Limitations: Unofficial API: not affiliated with or endorsed by the platform. Public data only, as a logged-out visitor sees it. Counts can be YouTube's rounded figures; comments are top-level only; transcripts exist only for videos with captions.

  • Returns up to 30 latest uploads. View counts are approximate and publish times are relative, for example "2 days ago".

Questions

How many videos are returned?

Up to 30 of the latest uploads (default 12). has_more tells you whether the first page held more than your limit.

Are view counts exact?

No. They are parsed from YouTube's rounded text, for example 74M views. The YouTube video endpoint returns exact views.

Do I get exact publish dates?

No, publish times are relative, for example "2 days ago". The YouTube video endpoint returns published_at for a single video.

How much does the YouTube Videos Scraper API cost?

1 credit per successful request. Credits are bought in one-time packs and never expire. New accounts get 100 free credits. No payment details needed.

Am I charged for failed requests?

No. If the platform blocks the request, it times out or something fails on our side, the credits are refunded automatically. A definitive answer such as "this account does not exist" is billed because the lookup completed.

Can I re-read a result without paying again?

Yes. Send cache_days (1 to 14) and a repeat request for the same target within that window is served from your cache for free.
