What you can build
- Monitor what brands, founders or public figures post on their timeline.
- Archive individual posts with their engagement numbers for reporting.
- Enrich lead lists with public X profile data.
- Feed recent posts into dashboards or alerting tools.
Limitations: Unofficial API: not affiliated with or endorsed by the platform. Public data only, as a logged-out visitor sees it. Timelines return recent posts only (up to 60); protected accounts and posts X hides from logged-out visitors are missing.

X (Twitter) scraper API: questions
Do I need a paid X API plan?
No. These endpoints return public X data with a Scrape Everything API key; no X developer account is involved.
Can I search X posts by keyword?
Not today. The X endpoints cover profiles, recent timelines and single posts.
Why send post IDs as strings?
X post IDs are too large for JSON numbers to represent exactly. Send the URL or the ID as a string.
How much does the X (Twitter) scraper API cost?
Each successful request costs 1 or 2 credits depending on the endpoint. New accounts get 100 free credits; failed requests are refunded and cache hits are free.
