What the X (Twitter) Posts Scraper API does

The X (Twitter) Posts Scraper API returns a public X profile together with its recent timeline: up to 60 items including the pinned post, reposts and the account's own replies. Each post has its ID, link, full text, language, creation time, author, reply, quote and repost information, media with image and video URLs, and the engagement numbers: replies, reposts, quotes, likes, bookmarks and views. For reposts, the post fields describe the original post and retweeted_from names its author. The profile part includes bio, location, website, verification flags and follower, following and post counts. Send a username, an @handle or a profile URL; no paid X API tier or developer account is needed. Each request costs 2 credits.

Use cases

  • Monitor what competitors, founders or public figures post, and how each post performs.
  • Compare views, likes and reposts across a brand's recent posts for reporting.
  • Collect images and videos attached to an account's recent posts.

Limitations: Unofficial API: not affiliated with or endorsed by the platform. Public data only, as a logged-out visitor sees it. Timelines return recent posts only (up to 60); protected accounts and posts X hides from logged-out visitors are missing.

  • Includes the pinned post, reposts and the account's own replies, up to 60 items.
  • For reposts the post fields describe the original post and retweeted_from holds its author.
  • Protected accounts return an empty posts array.

Questions

How far back does the timeline go?

Recent posts only, up to 60 items per request. There is no keyword search and no paging into older posts.

Are reposts and replies included?

Yes. The pinned post, reposts and the account's own replies are included; is_pinned, is_retweet and is_reply tell them apart.

What about protected accounts?

Protected accounts return their public profile fields with an empty posts array.

How much does the X (Twitter) Posts Scraper API cost?

2 credits per successful request. Credits are bought in one-time packs and never expire. New accounts get 100 free credits. No payment details needed.

Am I charged for failed requests?

No. If the platform blocks the request, it times out or something fails on our side, the credits are refunded automatically. A definitive answer such as "this account does not exist" is billed because the lookup completed.

Can I re-read a result without paying again?

Yes. Send cache_days (1 to 14) and a repeat request for the same target within that window is served from your cache for free.
