What is the Twitter Viewer?

The Twitter Viewer shows a public X (Twitter) profile without an X account. You enter a username and get the profile as X shows it, with banner, picture, bio, location, website, join date and counts, followed by the account's 12 latest posts with their photos, videos and engagement numbers.

Since 2023, X has pushed visitors to log in before they can scroll a profile. The Twitter Viewer looks the account up the way a logged-out browser does and lays out what X returns: the pinned post first, then the newest posts, reposts and the account's own replies, each with its date and counts.

It reads X when you press View profile instead of relying on a Nitter-style mirror, so it keeps working when mirrors go offline. Reposts are labelled with the original author and carry that post's date, which is why the list can look out of order when an account reposts older content.

Protected accounts show their name, picture, bio and counts, but their posts stay hidden, here and on X.

Who uses it

  • Checking an account before you engage

See whether a brand, reporter or seller account is real and active before you reply or buy.

  • Following updates without signing up

Read what an agency or public figure posted this week without creating an X account.

  • Marketers comparing creators

Compare follower counts and how often each account posts across a short list.

  • Researchers taking notes

Record a profile's numbers and recent posts, with dates, at a point in time.

What this tool can't do

  • It shows 12 posts: the pinned post plus the most recent ones. Older posts and the media gallery aren't loaded.
  • Protected accounts show only their profile details. Their posts stay hidden.
  • Follower and following lists aren't public to logged-out visitors, so they can't be shown.
  • It can't show who viewed a profile, because X doesn't share that with anyone.
  • Up to 30 new lookups a day per visitor. For more, use the API.

If something goes wrong

User not found
Check the spelling of the handle. Renamed, suspended and deleted accounts return nothing.
The profile loads but has no posts
The account is protected or hasn't posted. Protected posts only show to approved followers on X.
The posts look out of order
The first post may be pinned, and reposts carry the date of the original post rather than the date of the repost.
X is busy
X sometimes limits logged-out requests. Wait a minute and try again.

Use it responsibly

The tool shows only what X shows to anyone who isn't logged in. Use what you see for research, planning and your own records, and respect people's privacy. Is this your account? Request removal.

Twitter Viewer FAQ

Do I need an X account to use this?

No. Type a username and the viewer shows the public profile and posts without an X login or a signup here.

Will the person know I looked at their profile?

No. X doesn't tell anyone who viewed their profile, and the lookup isn't tied to an X account.

Can I see a protected account's posts?

No. Protected posts are visible only to approved followers who are logged in. The viewer shows the profile details X makes public and nothing more.

Why only 12 posts?

The free viewer loads the pinned post and the latest posts up to 12. The X posts API returns up to 60 per request for larger jobs. X posts API.

Does it accept x.com or twitter.com links?

Yes, either profile link works, or just the @handle. If you paste a post link, the viewer opens the profile of the person who posted it.

Is this a Nitter alternative?

It covers the same need, reading public profiles without logging in, but it reads X when you look an account up instead of running a mirror site.

Can I see who viewed my X profile?

No tool can. X doesn't share profile visitors, so avoid sites that promise it or ask for your password.

For developers

Need this for many links?

curl -X POST https://api.scrapeeverything.com/v1/x/posts \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"username":"NASA"}'

Not a developer? Fill a Google Sheet or use the n8n workflow with the same API key.
