What is the Instagram Reels Viewer?

The Instagram Reels Viewer lists the latest reels from a public account's Reels tab without an Instagram account. You enter a username; it returns the profile header and a grid of 12 reel covers with view counts, and any reel plays in the page when you open it.

The list comes from the account's public Reels tab, which carries each reel's cover, views, likes and comments but not the video file. When you open a reel and press Play video, the tool runs one more lookup for that reel to fetch its MP4, then plays it and offers to save it.

Dates in the grid are approximate. The Reels tab has no exact times, so each date is decoded from the reel's ID and is usually a few minutes earlier than the real posting time. For the exact time, paste the reel into the Instagram Post Date Finder.

The Reels tab can also include collab reels owned by another account and reels the owner pinned to the top. Both are labeled when you open them, so they don't skew a quick read of what the account posts.

Who uses it

  • Seeing what works for an account

Scan the view counts to find the formats and topics its audience watches most.

  • Vetting creators

Check that a creator's recent reels get steady views, not one lucky hit, before a paid deal.

  • Watching without the app

See a band's or a shop's latest reels on a laptop without making an Instagram account.

What this tool can't do

  • Only the 12 latest reels of the Reels tab are shown.
  • Captions and exact posting times are not on the Reels tab, so they are not shown here.
  • Private accounts, stories and highlights can't be viewed.
  • Playing a reel runs one extra lookup to fetch its video.
  • Up to 30 new lookups a day per visitor. For more, use the API.

If something goes wrong

No reels returned
The account may not post reels, or its Reels tab needs a login. Try the Instagram Profile Viewer for its regular posts.
This account is private
Reels of private accounts are hidden from logged-out visitors, so the tab can't be read.
A reel won't play
It may have been deleted since the list loaded, or Instagram sent no video file. Open it on Instagram instead.
Views are missing on some covers
The owner hid like and view counts on those reels. The comment count still shows when you open one.

Use it responsibly

The tool shows only what Instagram shows to anyone who isn't logged in. Use what you see for research, planning and your own records, and respect people's privacy. Is this your account? Request removal.
