What is the YouTube Channel Viewer?

The YouTube Channel Viewer shows a public YouTube channel on one page. Enter a handle, channel link or channel ID and you get the banner, profile picture, name, handle, subscriber and video counts, description and the 12 most recent uploads from the channel's Videos tab, with views, length and upload age.

The viewer loads the channel's Videos tab as a logged-out visitor and rebuilds it here: the channel header first, then a grid of the newest 12 uploads with their length badges and view counts. Tap a video to see it larger, with a link to watch it on YouTube. You do not need a Google account, and the channel owner is not notified.

Subscriber, video and view counts are rounded the way YouTube shows them publicly, for example 15.1M subscribers or 6.1K videos. YouTube shortens every count above 1,000 (1,234 shows as 1.23K), and only the owner sees the exact, live number in YouTube Studio.

The grid lists long-form uploads from the Videos tab. Shorts and live streams sit on their own tabs on YouTube and are not included. For a channel's permanent ID and RSS feed, or to save its banner or profile picture as a file, use the dedicated tools linked below.

Who uses it

  • Brands vetting a creator

Check a channel's size, how often it posts and how its recent videos perform before you send a sponsorship offer.

  • Tracking a niche

See what competing channels uploaded this week without subscribing or signing in.

  • Finding the official channel

Compare handles, descriptions and subscriber counts to tell a brand's real channel from look-alikes.

  • Research without a footprint

Look at a channel without it showing up in your own YouTube history or recommendations.

What this tool can't do

  • Subscriber and view counts are rounded by YouTube. Exact and live counts are visible only to the owner.
  • Only the 12 newest long-form uploads are listed. Shorts, live streams and older videos are not.
  • It does not show the join date, total channel views or country.
  • Old /user/ and /c/ links are not supported; use the @handle instead.
  • Private and terminated channels cannot be viewed.
  • Up to 30 new lookups a day per visitor. For more, use the API.

If something goes wrong

Channel not found
Check the spelling of the handle. Handles can change, so search the channel on YouTube and copy its current @handle.
My link has /user/ or /c/ in it
These old links are not supported. Open the link on YouTube and copy the @handle under the channel name.
No videos appear
The channel may post only Shorts or live streams, which are on other tabs, or it has no public uploads.
Counts differ from YouTube
YouTube rounds counts and updates them at different times. The viewer shows what YouTube returned at the time of the lookup.

YouTube Channel Viewer FAQ

Can I view a YouTube channel without an account?

Yes. The viewer reads the public channel page as a logged-out visitor, so you need no Google account and the owner is not notified.

Why is the subscriber count rounded?

YouTube shows only shortened counts publicly, such as 12.3M, and the viewer shows the same number. YouTube shortens every count above 1,000.

Can I see the exact or live subscriber count?

No. Only the channel owner sees the exact, live number in YouTube Studio.

Which videos does it show?

The 12 newest uploads from the channel's Videos tab, with length, rounded views and upload age. Shorts and live streams are on separate tabs and are not listed.

Can I see when a channel was created?

Not with this tool. It does not show the join date or total channel views; YouTube lists both in the channel's About panel.

Where do I get the channel ID or the banner file?

The YouTube Channel ID Finder gives the ID and RSS feed, and the YouTube Banner Downloader saves the banner image. YouTube Channel ID Finder.

Can I view private or deleted channels?

No. Only public channels work.
