What is the YouTube Video Stats Checker?

The YouTube Video Stats Checker shows the public numbers of a YouTube video or Short from its link: the exact view count, the exact like count, the like rate (likes as a share of views), the video's length, its publish date and how many views it has averaged per day since it went public.

YouTube's like button rounds big numbers, so a video can show 19M likes. The video's public page data holds the exact figures, and the checker reads them as a logged-out visitor, together with the exact view count, length and publish time.

Like rate puts videos of different sizes on one scale: 3% means three likes for every 100 views. Views per day divides the view count by the days since publishing, which shows how fast a video gathered its audience on average. It does not show whether views are still coming in.

Comment counts are not part of this check, because YouTube loads comments separately from the video page; the YouTube Comment Downloader shows the total with the comments. Dislikes have been private since 2021, so no public tool can show them.

How we calculate it

Like rate = likes / views x 100. Views per day = views / days since the video was published.

For example, a video published 40 days ago with 200,000 views and 8,000 likes has a like rate of 8,000 / 200,000 x 100 = 4%, and it has averaged 200,000 / 40 = 5,000 views per day. These are illustrative numbers, not a real video.

  • Views and likes are the exact numbers YouTube reports at the time of the lookup. If someone checked the same video in the last 24 hours, you may see that saved result.
  • YouTube publishes no benchmark for like rate. Compare videos of a similar size, age and niche.
  • Views per day is an average over the video's whole life. Many videos get most of their views in the first days, so the average hides recent trends.
  • If the creator hides the like count, likes and like rate are not shown.

How to check a YouTube video's stats

What this tool can't do

  • It shows a snapshot, not a history, so it cannot chart views over time.
  • Dislikes are private and comment counts are not included.
  • It cannot tell real views from paid or bot views.
  • Private, deleted and members-only videos do not work.
  • Up to 30 new lookups a day per visitor. For more, use the API.

If something goes wrong

Likes are missing
The creator hid the like count in YouTube Studio, so YouTube does not share it.
Views differ from YouTube
YouTube can update view counts with a delay, and a lookup someone else ran in the last 24 hours may be reused.
Video not found
The video is private, deleted or the link is mistyped. Check that it plays on YouTube while logged out.
Wrong link type
Paste a link to one video or Short. Channels and playlists have no single view count.

How do I check a YouTube video's views and likes?

Are the view counts exact?

Yes, they are the exact count YouTube reports. YouTube can delay view updates on fast-growing videos, so recheck later for the newest figure.

Why does YouTube show rounded likes?

The like button shortens large numbers, such as 19M. The exact count is in the video's page data, which is what the checker shows.

Can I see dislikes?

No. YouTube made dislike counts private in 2021, so no public tool can show the real number.

What is a good like rate on YouTube?

YouTube publishes no benchmark. Compare videos of a similar size, age and niche rather than aiming for a fixed number.

Can I check YouTube Shorts?

Yes. Paste the /shorts/ link.

Can I see a video's views over time?

No. The tool shows a single snapshot. For tracking, check on a schedule with the API.
