Getting started

What is Scrape Everything?

A social media data API. Send a username, link or ID and get clean, typed JSON from Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Facebook, Telegram, Spotify, Pinterest and Twitch.

How do I get started?

Sign in with Google, create an API key in the dashboard and send your first request. New accounts get 100 free credits.

Is the data live?

Yes. Every request fetches the page when you call it. Use cache_days only if an older result is fine, up to 14 days. Each response says cached: true or false.

Can I call the API from a browser?

No. API keys are secrets and the API does not accept browser requests. Call it from your server or scripts and keep the key in an environment variable.

Which errors should I retry?

Retry 429 after the reset time, and 502, 503 and 504 with exponential backoff. A 404 is a final answer for that target: retrying returns the same result and is charged again.

Credits and pricing

What counts as one credit?

One successful request to a 1 credit endpoint. The cost of each endpoint is listed in the docs and returned in every response as credits_charged.

Is this a subscription?

No. Credit packs are one-time payments. There is no monthly fee or minimum, and credits never expire.

What does one request cost?

Most endpoints cost 1 credit per successful request. Feed and search endpoints that return many results cost 2 or 3. Every endpoint's cost is listed on its page and returned in each response as credits_charged.

Do failed requests cost credits?

No. When a platform blocks the request, it times out or something fails on our side, the reserved credits are refunded automatically before the response is sent. A definitive answer such as "this account does not exist" or "this account is private" is billed, because the lookup completed.

What if a platform blocks you?

We retry automatically. If it still fails, the credit is refunded and the error code says why. We do not publish an uptime SLA.

Are cached results free?

Yes. Send cache_days (1 to 14) and a repeat request for the same target within that window returns the stored result at no cost. Cached results belong to your account only.

What happens when I run out of credits?

Requests are rejected with 402 INSUFFICIENT_CREDITS before any work is done, so nothing is charged. Buy another pack whenever you like; your API keys keep working and unused credits never expire.

What are the rate limits?

Free accounts can send 60 requests per minute with 5 at the same time. The limits rise to 300 per minute and 20 concurrent requests once your purchases total $39 or more; a Builder or larger pack does it at once. Enterprise plans get custom limits.

How much does Enterprise cost?

Enterprise starts at 1,000,000 credits and the price depends on volume and limits. Email [email protected] with your expected monthly volume and the endpoints you need, and we will send a quote.

Payments

How can I pay?

We accept crypto today: USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH and more via 2328 (2328.io), our crypto payment processor. Credit card payments are coming soon. You get a 2328 invoice page with the exact amount, network and address. It expires after 60 minutes. Credits arrive after network confirmation, usually within minutes. Need an invoice or help paying? Email [email protected]. Step-by-step crypto guide: scrapeeverything.com/docs/pay-with-crypto.

Can I pay with crypto?

Yes. Crypto is how you pay today, through 2328 (2328.io), our crypto payment processor. Credit card payments are coming soon. It works the same way in every country and takes a few minutes. New to crypto or stuck on a payment? Email [email protected] and we will help you through it.

Can I get an invoice?

Yes. Email [email protected] with your account email, the payment's receipt ID and your billing details, and we will send you an invoice.

My crypto payment is not showing yet.

Crypto purchases are credited once the network confirms the payment, usually within a few minutes. If it takes longer, open a billing ticket with the payment details.

Are unused credits refundable?

Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law or decided by us case by case, as set out in the Terms of Service. For crypto payments, because blockchain transactions cannot be reversed, any refund we agree to is made in crypto to an address you provide, less network fees. Failed requests are always refunded as credits automatically.

Data and legality

Which data can I collect?

Only data that is publicly visible without logging in. You are responsible for using it in line with the platforms' terms and the data protection laws that apply to you, such as GDPR and KVKK.

Is this legal?

We return only data visible without logging in. You stay responsible for your use under platform terms and laws like GDPR. Plain-language overview: scrapeeverything.com/blog/is-scraping-public-social-media-data-legal. Not legal advice.

Can I get data from private accounts?

No. Only data visible to logged-out visitors is returned. A private account returns its public profile fields at most, or a PRIVATE_ACCOUNT error.

Do other customers see my cached results?

No. Cached results belong to your account. Another customer requesting the same profile never receives your result, and your cache hits never reveal what others fetched.

Can I ask you to remove cached data about me?

Yes. If the Service returned public data about you and you want cached copies removed, email [email protected] with the link or username and we will delete them.

Is there an SLA?

We do not publish a standard SLA today. Talk to us about your requirements.

Integrations

Can I use it from Claude, Cursor or VS Code?

Yes. The MCP server gives Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and other MCP clients one tool per API endpoint, and each tool shows its credit cost.

Is there a command line tool?

Yes. The CLI (npx scrapeeverything) runs every endpoint from your terminal, with pretty output or JSON for jq and scripts.

Does it work with n8n?

Yes. The community node covers all nine platforms and can also be used as a tool by n8n AI Agent nodes.

Is there an OpenAPI spec?

Yes. The OpenAPI 3.1 spec is linked from the API reference in the docs. Import it into Postman or a code generator.

Are the integrations open source?

Yes. The MCP server, CLI, Agent Skills and n8n node are open source on GitHub at github.com/scrapeeverything and all use one API key.

Account

How are API keys stored?

Keys start with ssk_live_. The full key is shown once when you create it. We only store a hash, so a lost key cannot be recovered: revoke it and create a new one.

Can I restrict a key to my servers?

Yes. Each key can have an allowlist of up to 20 IP addresses or CIDR ranges (IPv4 and IPv6). Requests from other addresses fail with 403 IP_NOT_ALLOWED.

How many API keys can I have?

Up to 10 active keys. They share your account's credits and rate limits, and revocation takes effect immediately.

What should I include in a support request?

The request_id from the response (also sent as the X-Request-Id header), the endpoint you called, the time and what you expected. Never send your API key.

I did not receive my free credits.

Free credits are limited to a small number of new accounts per network each day to prevent abuse. Open a ticket from the account you signed up with and we will take a look.

Can I earn more free credits?

Yes. A published review on G2 adds 1000 credits, once per account, whatever your rating. Claim it on the Bonus page in the dashboard. Bonus credits never expire.

Can I cash out referral credits?

No. Referral rewards are API credits on your account. Like purchased credits, they never expire.
