What is the YouTube Channel ID Finder?

The YouTube Channel ID Finder converts a YouTube @handle or channel link into the channel's permanent ID, the 24-character code that starts with UC. It also shows the handle, the channel URL, the handle URL, the uploads playlist ID and the RSS feed address, each with its own Copy button.

The tool opens the channel page for the exact handle you enter, as a logged-out visitor, and reads the ID YouTube stores for it. Because it looks up that one handle instead of searching by name, you get the channel you asked for, shown with its name, profile picture and rounded subscriber and video counts so you can confirm it at a glance.

Two outputs are built from the ID. The uploads playlist ID is the same code with UC changed to UU; it is the playlist of every public upload that feeds and APIs use. The RSS feed is youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id= followed by the ID, and any feed reader can follow it to get the channel's 15 newest uploads.

Handles and channel names can change; the ID cannot. That is why embeds, analytics tools, spreadsheets and ad placement lists ask for it. If you only have a video, open it on YouTube, tap the channel name and copy the @handle from the channel page.

Who uses it

  • Developers and analysts

APIs, dashboards and spreadsheets need the UC ID, not the handle.

  • Feed and automation users

Copy the RSS feed into Feedly, Inoreader or an n8n workflow to get alerts for new uploads.

  • Creators

Find your own channel ID for a sponsor form, a website widget or a support request without digging through settings.

  • Ad and brand-safety teams

Placement and exclusion lists use channel IDs, which stay valid when a channel renames itself.

What this tool can't do

  • It does not accept video, Shorts or playlist links. Open the channel and use its @handle.
  • Old /user/ and /c/ links are not supported.
  • It does not search by channel name; enter the exact handle.
  • Terminated and hidden channels return no result.
  • Up to 30 new lookups a day per visitor. For more, use the API.

If something goes wrong

Channel not found
Check the handle's spelling. It is the @name under the channel title, not the display name.
I only have a video link
Open the video, tap the channel name to open the channel, then copy the @handle under its name.
My link has /user/ or /c/ in it
These old links are not supported. Open the link on YouTube; the channel page shows the current @handle.

Use it responsibly

The tool shows only what YouTube shows to anyone who isn't logged in. Use what you see for research, planning and your own records, and respect people's privacy. Is this your account? Request removal.

YouTube Channel ID Finder FAQ

What is a YouTube channel ID?

A permanent 24-character code that starts with UC, such as UCBJycsmduvYEL83R_U4JriQ for @mkbhd. It stays the same when the channel changes its name or handle.

Where do I find my own channel ID?

On YouTube, click your profile picture, then Settings, then Advanced settings. You can also enter your handle here.

How do I find a channel ID on mobile?

Open the channel in the YouTube app, note the @handle under its name and enter it here in your phone's browser.

Can I get a channel ID from a video link?

Not directly. Open the video, tap the channel name, and enter the @handle from the channel page.

Can a channel ID change?

No. Names and handles can change, which is why apps, embeds and feeds use the ID.

What is the UU playlist ID?

It is the channel's uploads playlist: the channel ID with UC changed to UU. It lists the channel's public uploads, newest first.

Does it work with old /user/ or /c/ links?

No. Open the old link on YouTube and use the @handle the channel page shows.

curl -X POST https://api.scrapeeverything.com/v1/youtube/profile \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"username":"@mkbhd"}'

Not a developer? Fill a Google Sheet or use the n8n workflow with the same API key.
