How to download a TikTok video without watermark

  1. Step 1

    Copy the video link

    In the TikTok app, tap Share (the arrow on the right of the video), then Copy link. On a computer, copy the address from the browser bar.

  2. Step 2

    Paste it and press Download

    Paste the link in the box above. The video loads in a player with its author, caption and stats, so you can check it is the right one.

  3. Step 3

    Save the MP4

    Press Download MP4. The Audio and Cover buttons save the sound and the still image as separate files.

  4. Step 4

    Find the file

    On iPhone, open Files > Downloads, then tap Share > Save Video to add it to Photos. On Android, check Downloads or Gallery; on a computer, Downloads.

What is the TikTok Downloader?

The TikTok Downloader is a free web tool that saves a public TikTok video as an MP4 file from its link. It returns the file TikTok's own web player streams, which has no TikTok logo or username stamped on it, along with the video's sound, cover image, caption and stats. It runs in any browser, so there is nothing to install.

When you paste a link, the tool looks the video up as a logged-out visitor. The public embed page gives the caption, stats, sound and cover, and the creator's public video list gives the clean file TikTok's website player uses: an H.264 MP4, usually 720 × 1280 pixels. The result shows the width and height before you download.

Links from the app's Copy link button (vm.tiktok.com, vt.tiktok.com and tiktok.com/t/) are resolved to the full video address first, and tracking parameters such as ?is_from_webapp=1 are dropped. TikTok signs every file address and it expires within a few hours, so paste the link again if a download you left open stops working.

The watermark you see on videos saved with the app's Save video button is burned into that copy. The web player file is a separate copy that never had it, so nothing is cut, blurred or edited. Text, stickers and logos the creator put into the video stay, because they are part of the picture.

  • Private, friends-only and deleted videos can't be loaded.
  • Photo and slideshow posts aren't supported: only video posts have an MP4 to save.
  • One video per link. To browse an account's 12 newest videos, use the TikTok Profile Viewer.
  • LIVE streams and stories aren't available.
  • The MP4 isn't re-encoded or upscaled: you get the file TikTok's player streams.

If something goes wrong

“Video not found or unavailable”
The video is private, friends-only or deleted. If it won't play on tiktok.com while you are logged out, no tool can load it.
“This TikTok link does not exist or has expired”
The short link is broken or old. Copy it again with Share > Copy link.
The download stopped working
TikTok's file addresses expire within a few hours. Paste the video link again for a fresh file.
The post is a photo slideshow
Slideshows have no MP4 file, so the tool can't save them.
“We could not reach the platform right now”
TikTok is limiting traffic for a moment. Wait a minute and try again.

Does the downloaded video have a watermark?

No TikTok logo or username is added. The file is the one TikTok's own web player streams; text or logos the creator put into the video itself stay.

Why does the button say Download MP4 (watermarked)?

Rarely, TikTok won't hand over the clean file for a video. The tool then falls back to the copy from TikTok's embed player, which carries the watermark, and labels the button so you know. File links expire within hours, so try the link again later for the clean version.

How do I download a TikTok video on iPhone?

Open this page in Safari, paste the link and tap Download MP4. The file goes to Files > Downloads; open it, tap Share and choose Save Video to add it to Photos.

Where do downloaded TikTok videos go?

To your browser's download folder: Files > Downloads on iPhone, Downloads or Gallery on Android, and Downloads on Windows and Mac.

Do short vm.tiktok.com links work?
