How to download a Pinterest board

Step 1
Copy the board link
Open the board in a browser and copy the address, which looks like pinterest.com/username/board-name/.
Step 2
Press Get board
The board loads with its cover, name, owner, pin and follower counts, and a grid of the first pins.
Step 3
Open a pin and save it
Tap a pin to view it large, then press Download image, or Download video for video pins. The arrows move to the next pin.

What is the Pinterest Board Downloader?

The Pinterest Board Downloader opens a public Pinterest board from its link and loads about the first 25 pins, the share Pinterest shows to visitors who aren't logged in. You get the board's name, owner, cover and pin count, plus a grid of pins whose images and videos you can open and save one by one.

Pinterest sends a board's pins in pages of 25, and for logged-out visitors it ends the feed after the first page. That is why the tool returns about 25 pins even from a board that holds thousands. The board header still shows the full pin count, so you can see how much is left out.

Pins arrive in the board's own order, including pins filed in board sections. Images are the original files Pinterest stores, and video pins can be saved as MP4 from the full-screen viewer.

What this tool can't do

Only about the first 25 pins of a board load, because Pinterest stops there for logged-out visitors.
There is no download-all or ZIP option. Files are saved one at a time.
Secret boards can't be opened.
pin.it links to boards aren't accepted. Use the pinterest.com address.
Up to 30 new lookups a day per visitor. For more, use the API.

If something goes wrong

Invalid board URL: The link needs both parts, pinterest.com/username/board-name/. Profile links and pin links won't work here.
Fewer pins than the board has: That is Pinterest's logged-out limit. Paste a pin's own link into the Pinterest Image Downloader to save pins further down.
Board not found: The board may be secret, renamed or deleted. Board names in links use hyphens, such as learn-with-nasa.

Can I download a whole Pinterest board?

No. Pinterest shows logged-out visitors only about the first 25 pins of a board, so that is what the tool can load. The header shows the board's full pin count.

Can I download all the images at once?

Not yet. Open each pin and press Download image; the arrows in the viewer move to the next pin.

Are pins in board sections included?

Yes. Pins filed in sections count toward the first 25 and appear in board order.

Does it work with secret boards?

No. A secret board is hidden from everyone except its owner and the people they invite, so there is no public page to read.

Can I save a board as a PDF?

Not directly. Save the images, then combine them into a PDF with any free converter.

Why doesn't the share link from the app work?

The app shares boards as pin.it short links. Open the board in a browser and paste the full pinterest.com address instead.
