What the TikTok Hashtag Stats Scraper API does
The TikTok Hashtag Scraper API returns the public statistics of a TikTok hashtag: its ID, title, description, link, cover image, a commerce flag and, most importantly, the total number of videos and views. Send the hashtag with or without #, or a tiktok.com/tag/ URL; matching is case-insensitive. A single snapshot is just a number, but daily snapshots turn it into a trend line: the difference between two days is the growth, and growth relative to size shows whether a trend is speeding up or fading. The endpoint returns stats only, not the hashtag's videos. Each request costs 1 credit, so tracking a hundred hashtags daily stays cheap.

Once a day is enough for most trend tracking. Store the date with each snapshot so you can compute growth.
