Competitor tracking and creator vetting for brands
Track what competitor accounts post and vet creators before a campaign, from public data on one API.
Why it fits
Brand and e-commerce teams watch two things on social: what competing brands post and how it performs, and which creators are worth paying. Both start from public numbers. Send a handle and get the account's recent posts, reels or videos with their engagement counts as JSON, ready for a sheet or a dashboard.
- Recent posts and reels for any public Instagram account, newest TikTok videos with play counts, and the latest YouTube uploads with views.
- Profile numbers for creator vetting: followers, verification, business category and bio link.
- Comments on a post or video, to see what customers say about a product launch.
- Failed lookups are refunded, and repeat lookups with cache_days are free.
- One-time credit packs that never expire, so a monthly tracking job has a fixed, small cost.
In more detail
Watch competitor accounts
The Instagram reels endpoint returns up to 50 recent reels with views, likes and comments, plus the profile basics. The Instagram photos endpoint returns up to 60 recent posts of every type. TikTok posts returns the newest videos (up to 12) with play counts, and YouTube videos returns up to 30 latest uploads. Run them on a schedule, store the date with each result, and you can chart posting frequency and engagement over time.
Vet creators before you pay
Profile endpoints for Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube return follower counts, verification flags and the link in bio. Compare recent reel views with followers to see whether an audience actually watches, and read the comments under recent posts for signs of bought engagement. Private accounts return a PRIVATE_ACCOUNT code instead of empty data.
Know the limits
You get what a logged-out visitor can see. Follower lists, reach, saves, sales data and ad spend are not available. Instagram comments are limited to the 15 newest per post, and some YouTube counts are rounded figures. Each endpoint page lists its limits.
What it costs
Track 25 competitors weekly on Instagram and TikTok, for 4 weeks
- Instagram reels100 calls × 2 credits = 200
- TikTok posts100 calls × 1 credit = 100
- Total300 credits
≈ $0.47 at the Builder rate ($1.56 per 1,000 credits; the pack is 25,000 credits for $39.00)
≈ $0.36 at the Growth rate ($1.19 per 1,000 credits; the pack is 100,000 credits for $119.00)
≈ $0.27 at the Scale rate ($0.90 per 1,000 credits; the pack is 500,000 credits for $449.00)
Packs are bought whole. Credits you do not use stay on your balance and never expire. Failed calls are refunded and not counted here. Both endpoints include the account's profile basics, so no separate profile call is needed. Credit calculator

Brands and e-commerce: questions
Can we see competitors' ad spend or sales?
No. Only public page data is returned: profiles, posts, reels, videos, comments and their public counts.
How often can we refresh?
As often as your rate limit allows. Each refresh is a new request, so weekly or daily snapshots are the usual choice.
Do we pay for accounts that do not exist?
Yes. A definitive answer (404 NOT_FOUND) is billed because the lookup completed. Blocks, timeouts and errors on our side are refunded.
Can we get an invoice?
Yes. Email [email protected] with your account email, the payment's receipt ID and your billing details.
