What the Pinterest Pins Scraper API does
The Pinterest Pins Scraper API returns a public Pinterest profile together with its recent pins, up to 50 per request. Each pin has its ID, link, title, description, alt text, dominant color, largest image with dimensions, video URL and duration for video pins, the outbound link and domain, creation date, board and pinner, plus repin, reaction and comment counts. The profile part carries the same fields as the profile endpoint. Send a username, an @handle or a profile URL. Grid results carry fewer counts than single pins: favorite and share counts come from the Pinterest pin endpoint. It shows what an account publishes and which websites its pins send traffic to. Each request costs 2 credits.

Use cases
- See which websites and products a brand's pins link to through outbound_domain.
- Monitor competitors' new pins and the boards they add them to.
- Collect images, colors and alt text for visual trend research.
Limitations: Unofficial API: not affiliated with or endorsed by the platform. Public data only, as a logged-out visitor sees it. Feeds and search return up to 50 pins per request; pins Pinterest hides from logged-out visitors are missing.
- Up to 50 recent pins. Grid results carry fewer counts than pinterest.pin.
Questions
How many pins are returned?
Up to 50 recent pins (default 12). has_more tells you whether the account has more.
Why are some counts null?
Grid results carry fewer counts than single pins. favorite_count and share_count are filled by the Pinterest pin endpoint.
Are video pins supported?
Yes. is_video marks them, and video_url and video_duration_ms are included.
How much does the Pinterest Pins Scraper API cost?
2 credits per successful request. Credits are bought in one-time packs and never expire. New accounts get 100 free credits. No payment details needed.
Am I charged for failed requests?
No. If the platform blocks the request, it times out or something fails on our side, the credits are refunded automatically. A definitive answer such as "this account does not exist" is billed because the lookup completed.
Can I re-read a result without paying again?
Yes. Send cache_days (1 to 14) and a repeat request for the same target within that window is served from your cache for free.
