What is the Spotify Playlist Exporter?

The Spotify Playlist Exporter turns a public Spotify playlist link into a song list you can keep. You paste the link and get up to 100 songs with title, artists, duration, explicit flag and Spotify link, ready to download as a CSV or TXT file or to copy as text.

The exporter reads the playlist's public embed, the player Spotify lets other websites show, so it needs no Spotify login and no access to your account. That embed lists up to 100 songs: shorter playlists come through complete, and longer ones stop at song 100, in playlist order.

The CSV has one row per song with the columns position, title, artists, duration, explicit and spotify_url. It starts with a byte-order mark so Excel shows accented names correctly, and cells that begin with =, +, - or @ are escaped so a song title can't run as a formula. The TXT file has one Artist - Title line per song.

Both files are built in your browser from the result, so they don't pass through our servers.

How to export a Spotify playlist

Step 1
Copy the playlist link
In Spotify, open the playlist, tap the three dots, then Share and Copy link. On desktop, the option is called Copy link to playlist.
Step 2
Paste it and press Export playlist
The cover, title, owner, song count and total length appear above the song list.
Step 3
Pick a format
Press CSV for a spreadsheet file, TXT for a plain list, or Copy list to paste the songs anywhere.
Step 4
Open it where you need it
Open the CSV in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. Paste the text list into notes, an email or a playlist transfer service.

What this tool can't do

Up to 100 songs per playlist. Longer playlists stop at song 100, and the count and total length cover those 100 only.
Public playlists only. Liked Songs and private playlists can't be read.
No album names, release dates, ISRC codes or dates added, because the public embed doesn't include them.
It exports the list only. No audio is downloaded.
Up to 30 new lookups a day per visitor. For more, use the API.

If something goes wrong

No tracks came back: The playlist is private, empty or deleted. Make it public in Spotify, or copy the songs into a new public playlist.
A spotify.link short link fails: Short links aren't supported. Open the link, then copy the open.spotify.com/playlist/ address.
Only 100 songs were exported: That is the limit of Spotify's public embed. Split a long playlist into parts of up to 100 songs and export each one.

Spotify Playlist Exporter FAQ

Do I need to log in to Spotify?

No. The exporter reads the public playlist view anyone can open, so no Spotify login or app permission is involved.

How many songs can I export?

Up to 100 per playlist. Longer playlists export their first 100 songs.

Can I export Liked Songs or a private playlist?

Not directly. In Spotify, add the songs to a new public playlist, export it, then make it private again.

Will the CSV open in Excel?

Yes. The file is UTF-8 with a byte-order mark, so Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers show accented names correctly.

Why is there no album column?

Spotify's public playlist view doesn't list albums per song. You get title, artists, duration, explicit flag and each song's Spotify link.

Is this an Exportify alternative?

For quick exports, yes. Exportify asks you to connect your Spotify account and adds columns such as album and release date; this tool works from a link alone.

Does it download the songs?

No. It exports titles, artists, lengths and links. Downloading music from Spotify isn't allowed.
