What the Twitch Clips Scraper API does
The Twitch Clips Scraper API returns a channel's most viewed clips for a period: the last day, week, month or all time, up to 50 per request. Each clip has its ID, slug, link, title, view count, length in seconds, creation time, thumbnail, the user who made it and the game or category. It also points back to the source: the VOD ID, the clip's start offset in seconds and a VOD link at that timestamp, which are null when the VOD has expired or was deleted. Send a Twitch login name or a channel URL. Twitch refuses later pages to logged-out clients, so the top 50 per period is the maximum. Each request costs 1 credit, and failed requests are refunded.
What you get
Top-level fields of the response. Every field is typed and documented; nullable fields are null when the platform does not show them.

Use cases
- Find a streamer's best moments of the week for highlight videos and social posts.
- Jump from a popular clip to the exact moment in the source broadcast with vod_link.
- See which games produce a channel's most viewed clips.
Limitations: Unofficial API: not affiliated with or endorsed by the platform. Public data only, as a logged-out visitor sees it. Videos and clips are limited to what the channel shows publicly (up to 50 per request).
- Most viewed first within the period, up to 50 clips. Twitch refuses later pages to logged-out clients.
- video_id, video_offset_seconds and vod_link are null when the source VOD has expired or was deleted.
Questions
Which periods are supported?
last_day, last_week (the default), last_month and all_time.
How many clips can I get?
Up to 50 most viewed clips per period. Twitch refuses later pages to logged-out clients.
Why is vod_link null?
video_id, video_offset_seconds and vod_link are null when the source VOD has expired or was deleted.
How much does the Twitch Clips Scraper API cost?
1 credit per successful request. Credits are bought in one-time packs and never expire. New accounts get 100 free credits. No payment details needed.
Am I charged for failed requests?
No. If the platform blocks the request, it times out or something fails on our side, the credits are refunded automatically. A definitive answer such as "this account does not exist" is billed because the lookup completed.
Can I re-read a result without paying again?
Yes. Send cache_days (1 to 14) and a repeat request for the same target within that window is served from your cache for free.
