What the Spotify Track Scraper API does
The Spotify Track Scraper API returns a Spotify track by link, URI or ID: title, credited artists with their IDs and links, duration in milliseconds, release date, explicit flag, whether it is playable in the embed, whether it has a video, the largest cover image and a 30-second MP3 preview URL. Send an open.spotify.com link, a spotify:track: URI or the 22-character track ID. There is no Spotify developer app, OAuth flow or token refresh to manage. Use it to turn shared links into clean metadata, enrich music catalogs or show cover art and previews in your app. Short links (spotify.link, spoti.fi) are not supported. Each request costs 1 credit, and repeat reads within your cache window are free.

Use cases
- Resolve Spotify links shared by users into title, artists and cover art.
- Enrich music catalogs with durations, release dates and explicit flags.
- Show 30-second previews and covers in a music discovery app.

- Short links (spotify.link, spoti.fi) are not supported.
Questions
Does it return play counts?
No. The response contains track metadata, artists, cover image and the preview URL, but no play counts.
Do short links work?
No. Short links (spotify.link, spoti.fi) are not supported. Use the open.spotify.com link, the URI or the ID.
Is there always a preview?
preview_url is a 30-second MP3 when Spotify provides one, and null otherwise.
How much does the Spotify Track Scraper API cost?
1 credit per successful request. Credits are bought in one-time packs and never expire. New accounts get 100 free credits. No payment details needed.
Am I charged for failed requests?
No. If the platform blocks the request, it times out or something fails on our side, the credits are refunded automatically. A definitive answer such as "this account does not exist" is billed because the lookup completed.
Can I re-read a result without paying again?
Yes. Send cache_days (1 to 14) and a repeat request for the same target within that window is served from your cache for free.
