What the Facebook Page Scraper API does

The Facebook Page Scraper API returns the public metadata of a Facebook Page or profile from its public page preview (Open Graph tags): name, bio, canonical profile URL and profile image, plus like, follower and talking-about counts for public Pages. Send a Page vanity name, a numeric profile ID or a facebook.com URL. There is no Facebook app, Graph API review or access token to set up. The endpoint covers metadata only: it does not return posts, comments or follower lists. Counts are available for public Pages, and Pages that do not exist or require login return 502 TARGET_BLOCKED instead of 404 and are not charged. Each lookup costs 1 credit, and repeat lookups within your cache window are free.

Questions

Can I get Facebook posts?

No. The endpoint returns Page and profile metadata only: name, bio, image, URL and, for public Pages, like, follower and talking-about counts.

Do personal profiles return counts?

Counts are available for public Pages only. For other profiles the count fields can be null.

What if the Page does not exist?

Pages that do not exist or require login return 502 TARGET_BLOCKED instead of 404, and the request is not charged.

How much does the Facebook Page Scraper API cost?

Am I charged for failed requests?
